Stop Flat Iron Fires
I thought I should talk to you about how you can stop flat iron fires. This is a real problem for a lot of people and it is serious. These fires are the ones that tend to burn down homes. If a fire starts, would you be able to put it out? Would you have to run to get water? An inferno could be going by the time you get back and than you will basically lose your house. I have some advice for you that can help you from preventing fires when it comes to hot flat irons. Watch for Chemicals Chemicals are a big problem for a lot of people. They tend to be put on clothing too and that can cause some sort of problems. Typically the chemicals put on clothing are safe for an iron and heat in general, but sometimes you could end up with something else on it that will ignite. This is why it is important to iron your clothes after you clean them. It removes any sort of chemical that could be on the fabric and lead to a fire. Unplug It After You're Done I know this is completely obvious to mention, but I have a little tip. If you're a person that always unplugs it than you shouldn't need this. If you're someone that forgets, or if you're a person that has that nagging feeling all the time about whether you unplugged it or not, I have a solution you can use. You need a pice of a string that is a few feet long. You're going to tie one end around the end of the power cord, close to the plug. The other end, you're going to tie a little loop in it. This should be loose enough for you to put your wrist in. This will stop you from forgetting to unplug it. If you try to walk away with unplugging than you're going to feel a tug on your wrist.
